My name is Nici Holt Cline and I am a fourth generation Montana raising kids, vegetables and the roof in Missoula, Montana. Here at dig I keep my family's stories.
Why I blog and what you can expect from me:
I began this blog in 2007 because I like to write and take photos. A lot has changed since then. Like, I had two kids and my mom isn't the only reader. I recently reevaluated why the heck I make time for this and what I want from it. I landed here: I blog to capture the everyday activity and feeling of my family, our real journey. I am really interested in and inspired by unscripted, unposed ordinary. The sweetness of Margot's darker blue fanaticism is so quickly eclipsed by her resolute need to wear three bathing suits under every outfit. Ruby runs and sings; two years ago she was tethered to machines that breathed for her. Our everyday is full of moments, reflections, shifts and lessons. Blogging gives me the wonderful opportunity to meditate on my existence. And, consequently, blogging pushes me.
By now we all know there is a blog out there for every person. Here is a bit about what makes me tick: I find redeeming qualities in nearly every person or situation. I am intensely self-reflective. I trust that my perspective shapes my reality. I don't gossip, I don't hesitate to call bullshit. I am opinionated, I am compassionate. I am honest. I like benefit of the doubt. My family and friends are my most important priority. I want to be better.
I have a weekly column on mamalode.com called mama digs. It comes out every Monday. And, I have a sewing business also called dig this chick.
I love hearing from readers! If you have a general question, I might answer it on the faq page.
