This month, tart exhibits the stunning cut paper artwork by Karin Neff. From tart’s website, about Karin’s approach: Reducing a three-dimensional landscape or flower to two dimensions requires hours and hours of just looking; mentally de-constructing the parts that make up the whole.
Karin also creates reproductions of her original pieces (check out the notecards!) and she put together a fabulous 2013 calendar. One of you lucky ducks will win one! Leave a comment, answering this question: What’s your favorite part of summer? For another entry, like tart on facebook and leave a separate comment here telling us you did so.
WINNER: Lucky #45:

That cut paper is *exquisite*. Summer love…I only get one? Dang, this year I’d say dining outside. This is the first time in years that we’ve had a good place to eat outside.
Favorite part of summer? We get to have another one next year!
favorite part of summer… slow mornings, late afternoon light, eating outside, nighttime walks, extra time with friends and family! oops that’s extra.
Sitting around the table having long extended conversations and laughing so hard my sides hurt because my four girls are so funny!

Karin’s work is absolutely stunning….I think I had my favorite moment of summertime today when there was a slight autumnal feel in the air this morning, but when I then stood in my garden listening to the crickets with the hot sun beating down and juicy tomatoes ready to pick, it was pure heavenly summer.
