Me: Hey Gramma Joan is coming today and she is bringing you guys a surprise!
Margot: Don’t tell me what it is.
Ruby: Yeah, don’t tell.
Me: I won’t. But I will give you a hint. It is loud. Any guesses?
Margot: Firecrackers!
Me: Hmm. What else is loud that Gramma Joan would think is awesome and carry all the way from Red Lodge to Missoula just for you two?
Margot: A whistle!
Me: Ruby, do you have any ideas?
Ruby: Yes! I know exactly what it is. She is bringing us a screaming person.

So cute, we get screaming person when grandma comes to town! Both grandma and girls squeal with delight to see each one another!

Too funny!
Hee, funny girl!
LOL! I thought she was going to say: “A baby brother!”
Love!! Funny girl!
Ha ha , kids are so funny , I laughed out loud – would love to see visually what she was actually picturing, personally i can just imagine a grandma carrying a screaming adult under her arm.
Put a smile on my face!

I am suuuuper impressed that your girlies understand the value of a good surprise. Mine ALWAYS want me to tell. And I refuse! (They get it honestly, from their Dad. Dude cannot keep a surprise.)
But the screaming person could have been a fun addition…
Oh my gosh, I didn’t even recognize Ruby! Look at those piggy tails! She looks so grown up in that picture.
That’s so funny!! I love her absolute confidence in her not-so-likely answer. This reminds me of my 2 year old who, whenever I say “I can’t find my (shoes/hairbrush/phone/whatever),” immediately responds with, “I know where it is! I will find it!” If I can catch him before he dashes off to “find it” and ask him “ok, well, where is it?” he will say “I don’t know” with a shrug and a face like, how the heck am I supposed to know, I’m only two. π
